  • Nov 2018 an online live google document was created for all to add best practices
  • Sept 2018 two local parts companies will be offering CARL 6.1 parts    (see  buy link)
  • Sept our open source robot is open to anyone to build, we can provide links to our parts manufacturers

  • Carleton University will be open to hosting day workshops for Teachers and the CARL 6.1 coding robot
  • 24 Ottawa Engineers are in schools using the CARL 6.1 as part of their outreach program
  • Wed night CARL 6.1 robot bootcamp are available for teachers at Maker Space North in Ottawa from 6 to 8pm    (register for meetup)
  • 2018 we secured funding to provide CARL 6.1 robots to 300 Ottawa schools
  • 65 new schools have registered for the Sept 2018 rollout of the CARL 6.1
  • Faculty of Education at University of Ottawa used the CARL 6.1 during the summer coding institute.
  • 2018  over 300 students coded the robots, thanks to 47 innovated teachers across Canada.
  • 2017 Community stakeholders came together to form a program that would offer robots to schools with Teacher Librarians, who encouraged and empowered students to code the robot regardless of what subject they were enrolled in (see list of partners)
  • 2017 St Peter partnered with Carleton University Faculty of engineering and design & Capital Robot to create a slimmer, easier to use, low cost, coding robot. CARL 6.1 was created.

  • 2016 Carlrobotics.com was created to be a support for the CARL 5 educational system
  • 2016 the CARL 5 robot was created to allow students to design, built a line following robot.
  • 2016 the TEJ class, designed the CARL 3,4, 5 robot systems that was used for some outreach at Carleton.
  • 2015  Carleton University Faculty of engineering and design funds many Ottawa school robotic projects, one was the creation of the computer engineering course TEJ3M at St Peter high school
